Welcome to Cape May Diamonds
Cape May Diamonds are transparent pebbles formed of quartz crystals. They wash up on the beaches of Cape May Point in New Jersey, and are usually found by digging through washed up beach pebbles. Originating many miles up the Delaware river, Cape May Diamonds tumble down the Delaware river, to the Delaware Bay. Then they drift to the Atlantic Ocean and some are washed up on the shore during storms. These Quarts crystals tumble during there long journey and smooth to form what we see in the photos below.
